Reading the layers

True colour

Landsat imagery from 1998–2001 and 2022–2025 to explore the landscape.

Vegetation / NDVI

From brown (0) to dark green (0.7): higher values indicate a stronger vegetation signal.

Vegetation decline

Red marks an NDVI difference below −0.15 between the two periods. This is an index threshold, not a 15% loss.

Wall strip and nearby land

With the original route: yellow marks 40 metres on each side of the wall; blue marks land 150–400 metres away, used as a reference.
